Class 2 HIAB Driver

Full time, permanent position based in Newton Abbot, Devon.

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per year. Basic salary £35,000 per year with on-call allowance and overtime potential.

Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. On‑call rota: 1 week in every 3. Saturday callouts paid time and a half (minimum 4 hours). Sunday callouts paid double time (minimum 4 hours). Expected earnings £45,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Class 2 vehicle fitted with a HIAB crane using a remote hook.
• Completing deliveries and collections safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
• Following all transport legislation and company procedures.
• Adhering to site health and safety requirements.
• Providing a professional and courteous service at customer locations.

Qualifications

Essential

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Current HIAB certificate with remote hook experience.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a similar HIAB delivery role.
