Overview

The advertised salary will be adjusted in line with the pending 2026/2027 national pay award. As a Youth Worker, you will work directly with young people in a range of settings, building positive relationships and creating opportunities for them to thrive. You will be part of a supportive team delivering a modern, community-focused youth service that values inclusion, participation and wellbeing. We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to join Ceredigion Youth Service at an exciting time of development.

Key Responsibilities

You will support young people across Ceredigion to grow in confidence, develop new skills, and access positive opportunities in their communities. You will:

  • Work directly with young people in various settings.
  • Build strong, positive relationships.
  • Deliver youth support services.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote inclusion, participation and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience and qualification as a youth support worker or youth worker, or demonstrable commitment to workforce development.
  • Passionate about supporting young people.
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships.
  • Motivated, flexible and creative.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.

Safeguarding and Compliance

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check. Previous convictions will not necessarily disqualify a candidate, and each applicant is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting children and adults at risk.
