Chef De Partie
Location: Richmond Village Bede, Hospital Lane, Coventry CV12 0PB
Salary: £13.90 per hour. Welcome bonus: £1,000.
Contract: 28 hours per week – 2 × 10 hour shifts (8:00‑6:00) and 1 × 8 hour shift (8:00‑3:00); occasional evening cover until 9:00 pm. No split shifts.
Starter Bonus of £1,000 after completion of four weeks of service. Subject to tax and NI. Ts &Cs apply.
Responsibilities
- Catering to residents across the Village, including the care home, serviced suites, restaurant/spa bookings, meals taken to apartments, and other specific events.
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
- Be aware of residents, villagers and Wellness Spa clients’ dietary needs and respond accordingly.
- Participate in preparation and serving of meals on the hotplate as required.
- Ensure all food is used within the prescribed period, especially perishable (high risk) goods.
- Ensure a welcoming, safe and compliant environment for residents to dine.
- Help maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Passionate about food with experience in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements. Understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally holding an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to innovate, stay organised and remain calm during busy service. Works well in a team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
DBS check required; Bupa will cover the cost (£40).
