The Headteacher is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic NQT / ECT Maths Teacher on a long‑term basis until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate. This role is ideal for early career teachers eager to develop valuable experience in a mainstream setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Support pupils with GCSE Maths examination preparation
- Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons
- Implement the school’s schemes of learning effectively
- Develop strong classroom and behaviour management skills, supported by experienced colleagues
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Maths
- NQTs and ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply
- Experience teaching Maths during training placements or previous roles
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
- A genuine passion for supporting pupil progress and achievement
