Healthcare Assistant – Day & Night ShiftsLocation: Cherwell Hospital, Banbury

You will be expected to work on a full‑time basis (37.5 hours per week) on a flexible departmental rota which may include weekends and overnight shifts. Earnings will be enhanced by at least 30% for evening, weekend, bank holiday and night work.

Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Assistant on the busy wards at Cherwell Hospital you will:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal care, therapy, and social/emotional support.
• Support the healthcare team in delivering high‑quality clinical outcomes within a supportive environment.
• Maintain a calm, practical approach in challenging situations, paying close attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ level 2 or 3 (advantage).
• Hospital experience (advantage).
• Warm, considerate and empathetic interpersonal style.
• Commitment to support individuals and assist with activities of daily living.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use initiative and make decisions when appropriate.
• Flexible and positive attitude.
• Basic computer literacy.
