Location: Grateley, near Andover, Hampshire Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week

Are you a qualified Maths Teacher looking for a role where you can focus on teaching, build meaningful relationships with students, and make a lasting difference?

We’re recruiting a Maths Teacher to join a specialist secondary school near Andover, supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming and supportive school where small class sizes, personalised learning, and strong staff collaboration allow teachers to help every student reach their potential.

You’ll teach Maths to secondary-aged students up to GCSE level, delivering engaging lessons that are tailored to meet individual learning needs. With smaller classes and excellent classroom support, you will have time and opportunity to focus on high-quality teaching, build positive relationships and help students develop confidence academically and personally.

Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll play an important role in creating an environment where students feel understood, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons up to GCSE level
  • Differentiate learning to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching where appropriate
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where every student can thrive
  • Support students’ confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing alongside their academic development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
  • Confidence teaching GCSE Maths
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching

Experience working within specialist education or with students with autism is welcomed but is not essential. If you are an outstanding teacher with a willingness to learn and an interest in SEND, the school will provide ongoing support and professional development to help you succeed.
