Trainee Accountant – High-End Apprenticeship

Armstrong Watson LLP invites highly motivated and ambitious individuals to join our accountancy practice. The role is part of a 3-year apprenticeship to achieve the AAT qualification and to fast-track to a Chartered Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounts, bookkeeping and VAT returns as part of the Business Services Team.
• Work alongside current apprentices and experienced team members to support daily priorities and new client projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and advice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 GCSEs at Grade 5 (C) or above, including Maths, English and at least one Science, or 6 National Fives at Grade C or above.
• Minimum of 96 UCAS points from A‑Level, Scottish Highers or BTEC Level 3.
• At least 18 years old or older by 31 August 2026.
• Strong communication, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
