Hours and Salary
30 hours per week, four days a week on a rota basis. Salary £24,785 FTE per annum (actual salary £19,827).
Overview
As an Assistant Shop Manager, you’ll help create a welcoming environment where customers feel supported, donors feel appreciated, and volunteers feel valued. Working alongside your Shop Manager, you’ll play an active part in ensuring the shop runs smoothly, efficiently and with our hospice values at its heart.
Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager in the day‑to‑day running of a busy, vibrant shop to deliver a positive experience for everyone who walks through the door.
- Provide excellent customer service, building warm and genuine connections with customers, donors and volunteers.
- Help manage stock flow, pricing, merchandising and Gift Aid processes, ensuring donations are used to their full potential and displayed in an attractive, commercially aware way.
- Review sales information, spot opportunities to increase income and help grow footfall through great displays and local engagement.
