Software Architect – Dotnet WEB Development – 45‑50K

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + healthcare and pension package.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture design (60% of time), translating functional specifications from Business Analysts into technical specifications for developers.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and document all architecture decisions.
  • Collaborate with Development Manager and Head of IT to introduce iterative Agile/Scrum processes.
  • Coordinate with UK and continent‑wide development teams, including developers and testers.
  • Actively contribute to the transition of the product to a SaaS/Cloud solution (experience a plus).

Qualifications

  • Strong background in C#/ .NET development before moving into architecture and design.
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC and related Microsoft stack.
  • Experience in large web enterprise solutions and managing distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience developing Cloud or SaaS solutions is a plus, not required.
