Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Newton AbbotPay Rate: £14.24 PAYE ADVANCED (Other PAYE methods available)Job Type: SeasonalWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established food wholesale supplier for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their busy warehouse team.This is a hands-on role that combines forklift operation with general warehouse duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a varied working day and is happy working in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.Moving stock throughout the warehouse.Preparing orders and stock for distribution.Assisting with general warehouse duties, including housekeeping and manual handling.Working within chilled and frozen storage areas as required. Requirements A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment.Comfortable working in chilled and freezer environments for periods of the shift.Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.Good awareness of health and safety procedures. Working Hours Monday to Thursday: Start at 10:15amFriday: Start at 9:15amFinish times will vary depending on daily workload.Shift length roughly 8-10 hours, but could be longer.45-minute unpaid break each shift.
