Specialty Doctor – Breast & General Radiology
Location: Raigmore Hospital, Inverness – part‑time or full‑time opportunities available. The position is offered on a 10‑day per week basis, with flexibility for part‑time work and occasional remote/home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support for the Breast Imaging service.
- Work within NHS Highland’s wider specialist radiology services, developing additional specialist interests in line with service needs and professional goals.
- Assist with screening and symptomatic patient care in the Highland Breast Centre, where 14,700 women are invited to the Breast Screening Service annually and approximately 280 patients are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
- Manage out‑of‑hours reporting via an existing tele‑radiology service – no current on‑call commitment required.
Qualifications
- Registered on the General Medical Council Specialist Register with a Licence to Practice.
- Working towards either a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) or completion of a specialty training programme.
