About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well‑established 24‑hour small animal hospital in Rotherham. This role is ideal for a veterinary professional with an interest in internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, or neurology who is looking to develop their expertise within a supportive and well‑equipped environment. The Practice

This purpose‑built 24‑hour hospital offers an extensive range of modern equipment and facilities, including:

  • Full‑body CT scanner
  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound
  • In‑house laboratory
  • Three spacious consulting rooms
  • Two dedicated operating theatres
  • Large preparation area with excellent support facilities
  • Dedicated learning and office spaces

The hospital provides a diverse caseload, making it an excellent environment for developing specialist interests and expanding professional skills.

Role and responsibilities

  • Full‑time position, 40 hours over four days per week.
  • 1 in 6 full weekend rota.
  • Varied medical and surgical caseload.
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care during consultations and surgical procedures.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care.
  • Maintain regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
  • Share knowledge and support the development of the wider veterinary team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Passion for delivering outstanding patient and client care.
  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Interest in developing skills in internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, or neurology.
  • Motivation to continue learning and developing professionally.
