Care Worker

Summary

At Dan y Bryn Residential Care Home, our dedicated and compassionate team is looking for Care Workers to help us continue providing exceptional support to our cherished residents. This is a 36 hour, full time position based on a rolling 2 week rota, to include:

• Day, evening & night shifts
• Weekend work required
• Reliable transport essential (limited bus services at weekends)

Duties

As a Care Worker, you’ll be at the heart of daily life for our residents, assisting them to live their lives to the fullest and ensuring they feel valued, safe, and supported.

• Promoting the health and wellbeing of residents
• Providing personal care and emotional support
• Administering medication
• Supporting residents to engage in stimulating activities
• Using a person‑centred approach to involve residents in their care
• Digital recording of care activities

Skills and Experience

• Experience working with people or customers and as part of a team
• Literacy, numeracy and IT skills
• Background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but training will be provided

Pay and Benefits

• £25,178 (£13.45 per hour)
• Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift (approx. 1 per week)
• Waking night rate: 20% enhancement from 11pm to 7am
• Enhanced DBS paid by the employer
• Social Care Wales registration fully reimbursed
