Salary
£14.80 per hour / £28,860 per annum (overtime rate £16.59 per hour)
Responsibilities
As a support worker you enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. You will support a small group of 5‑10 people, addressing a range of needs from low to high, including old age/dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health. You will also support people who live more independently through outreach services.
Work according to a rota that includes some weekends, early and late shifts. Night shift workers may be assigned to services with waking night shifts. Manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the role. You will maintain a safe environment, assist with personal care, and promote independence.
Sessional Work
If you prefer flexibility, you can opt for sessional work. You will decide when and where you work and may accept or decline any work offered by LDN London.
Requirements
- Ability to work part of a rota including weekends and early/late shifts.
- Manual handling skills required.
- Ability to provide employment or professional references covering the last three years.
- All successful applicants must be DBS checked.
