About the job
As a Programme Manager, you will join a dynamic and international environment and be responsible for securing large UK MOD-related programmes, working with primes and sub-contractors as needed, monitoring and managing them proactively during the full contract phase.
You will be part of a team of dedicated and experienced colleagues who work closely together and help each other succeed. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work proactively, structured, and flexibly.
You will report directly to the Director of Global Program Management.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The Programme Manager is responsible for the programme in all its phases.
- Planning and designing the programme response in all its facets and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action.
- Securing an internal understanding of the customers’ needs and implementing them within the programme.
- Expect to either facilitate that all relevant tasks are done or to personally ensure that it is done – i.e., sometimes micro‑managing the tasks related to a tender can be necessary.
- Securing future programmes via customer feedback and presenting possible solutions and needs to the customer.
- Responding in a timely and professional manner to all questions and needs arising from the customer as well as the tender.
- Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from teams is to the appropriate level of quality, on time, and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan.
- Setting up and carefully heading up a tender‑focused team with a diverse array of talents, personalities, and responsibilities, thereby securing good cooperation between the individuals and sub‑teams within the Program department.
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.
- Ensuring there is allocation of both common and specific resources, skills, and other troubleshooting within the programmes.
- Managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Using and improving the programme controls, that is, the processes, procedures, reporting, etc., to manage the programme promptly.
- Undertaking other duties reasonably required, which are appropriate with the level and nature of the role.
About you
We seek a candidate with strong experience of UK MOD programmes who can perform in a role that requires a combination of programme management, business development, and strategic planning skills.
Professional skills to succeed in the job:
- The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships within complex UK MOD-related programmes.
- Experience in leading and managing large, complex tenders and bids or frameworks, and an understanding of MOD procurement processes.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to work in cross‑functional teams with various personalities.
- Knowledge of programme and project management methods, including planning, monitoring, and control.
- Problem‑solving abilities, flexibility in handling tasks of varying difficulty, and adaptability to rapidly changing environments and team dynamics.
- Excellent time‑management, organisational skills, and multitasking abilities.
- Previous military experience and knowledge of our user segments, hearing protection, and/or tactical communication will highly enhance your candidacy.
- Able to achieve the appropriate level (SC) of security clearance.
- The flexibility to travel at short notice in accordance with customer requirements.
- Holds a full clean UK driving licence.

Work hours
37 hours. Work hours are 8 hours each day on Monday to Thursday inclusive and 5 hours on Friday.
The Employee will be entitled to an unpaid lunch break of a minimum 30 minutes to a maximum of 60 minutes during each working day.
The Company currently works a trial Flexitime Policy which full details are available in the policy.
These are core hours and from time‑to‑time additional hours may need to be worked in order to successfully fulfil the requirements of the position.
Additional information
This is a full‑time position. You will be based from Croxley Park, Watford, UK, with Hybrid Working. We do not offer relocation assistance.
The role will require frequent travel (including overnight stays) to customer facilities in the UK, along with overseas travel to our Copenhagen Headquarters and other customer locations as needed.
