Job Title: HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is recruiting an HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services.
Role Summary
Identify and manage risks to the client through on‑site equipment, including critical spares, performance improvement of plant and equipment, environment conditions via BMS, and efficient operation. Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working and comfortable environment, liaise with client for reactive and PPM tasks, fault‑find HVAC plant with a focus on VAV systems, support health & safety, act as Energy & Safety Champion, provide electrical & mechanical expertise, write and follow risk assessments, document work, use CAFM system, plan work, liaise with supervisors, deputise, work overtime, perform adhoc duties, supervise sub‑contractors, and participate in on‑call rota.
Experience Required
- Recognised or time‑served apprenticeship
- Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance
- Mechanical competences/qualifications to acceptable standard to City and Guild’s Mechanical
- Good multi‑skilled ability
- Ability to fault‑find
- Ability to supervise contractors
- Completion of risk assessments and method statements
- Understanding and writing permits and safe systems of work
- F‑Gas safe handling and refrigerant use
Desirable
- Working at height qualification
- IPAF / PASMA
- AP qualifications
- BMS system experience
- HVAC controls
