Class 2 Service Driver

Overview

Class 2 Service Driver roles at phs Group in the UK. Permanent, full-time positions. Locations include Birmingham, West Midlands and Tamworth. Responsibilities

• Deliver to phs depots, pick up internal recycling, and perform some direct deliveries to customers. You are the face of the company and excellent customer service helps retain customers.
• Follow planned routes and use PDA devices to confirm collections. Operate in-cab technology; familiarity with satellite navigation and smartphones is beneficial.
• Collect recycling materials such as plastic and cardboard, and some dental waste.
• Drive an 18-tonne box vehicle with tuck-under tail lift and pallet truck; return to your allocated depot daily to empty the vehicle’s contents.

Qualifications

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence held 12+ months; category C (LGV Class 2) licence with current Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 points; no DR/DD/CD/TT/IN/AC endorsements in the last 5 years.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, professional with good attention to detail.
