Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a strong academic background and experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside near a local office and have a keen interest in climate change, flood risk modelling and drainage engineering.
Responsibilities
- Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Flood risk assessments and drainage strategies.
- Hydrological assessments.
- Flood Mitigation and compensation.
- Flood management action plans and improvement works.
- Natural flood management and watercourse re-alignment.
- Flood risk mapping and estimation.
- Climate change impact assessments.
- Support new team members and check technical flood risk/complex hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
- Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop new opportunities and ensure projects are delivered to time and budget.
