About the Role

We are expanding our team of Personal Tutors (PTs) and looking for energized, engaging, and experienced professionals to support learners on their Health and Social Care Levels 2 and 3 qualifications. As a PT, you’ll play a key role in providing exceptional teaching, fostering learner progression, and ensuring that our learners receive the highest quality of education through our Elevate programme.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, motivate, and inspire learners to achieve their work‑based qualifications.
  • Deliver innovative and impactful teaching and learning, tailored to the needs of each learner.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of learners across HSC Levels 2–3, providing regular visits, observations, and progress reviews.
  • Offer valuable feedback to stretch learners, enhance their professional development, and support them in achieving their full potential.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with employer partners, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Champion and promote the use of Elevate Workshops to maximize learner success.
  • Monitor and track learner progress using our sophisticated Learning Management System (BUD).
  • Work in collaboration with Learning Support for learners requiring Functional Skills or Additional Learning Support.
  • Provide detailed feedback following review meetings and observations, ensuring clear and actionable insights.
  • Adhere to GDPR regulations and maintain data security protocols.
  • Receive support from central teams for contacting learners after breaks in learning, via EPA, and other support mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with Development Coaches to support learners in their initial journey.
  • Work with Quality Improvement Coaches throughout learners’ journeys.

What you won’t be doing in this role

  • Delivering Functional Skills – handled by our Functional Skills and Additional Learning Support Team.
  • Generating new learners – brought on by our growing BDM teams.
  • Enrolling learners onto their chosen qualification – managed by the enrollment team.
  • Delivery Workshops – handled by Workshop Tutors and Elevate programme delivery teams.
  • Referencing and incentive schemes – you can earn £500 for referrals but it is not part of your core duties.
  • CPD and training opportunities – these are provided separately.
  • Finish by 4pm on Fridays – flexible working opportunities are available.
  • General team flexibility and culture – we support a flexible and supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level3 Assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, D32, A1, V1).
  • A Teaching qualification (AET, PTTLS, etc.).
  • Level3 or5 qualification within the Health & Social Care sector.
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Experience managing a diverse caseload of learners.
  • A solid understanding of End‑Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Access to a car and the ability to travel for in‑person learner observations,1:1s, and team meetings.
