Job Summary

Magna is hiring an Apprentice Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Level 3) to work under experienced team leads in our Building Safety, Compliance and Home Services division. The role is based at Magna Sites across the Somerset region and requires regular field travel.

Key Details

• Location: Somerset region (field‑based, regular travel)
• Contract: 52‑month apprenticeship
• Hours: 39 hours per week
• Salary: £17,702 per annum plus benefits
• Closing date: 10 July 2026 (midday)
• Visa sponsorship: Not available; candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Install and service heating systems.
• Carry out day‑to‑day repairs, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Inspect and test installations to ensure safety and compliance standards, and complete relevant certifications.
• Attend a day‑release programme at a local college to enhance theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
• Train in a safe environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Build strong working relationships within the team, supporting personal confidence and skill development.

Qualifications

• Effective professional communication and ability to follow direction.
• Self‑driven with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
