Foot Mobile Electrical Bias Engineer
Location: Central London (Zone 2 / 4 to 5 sites, foot mobile)Salary:£52,000 per annum + extensive client side overtimeWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Role
We are recruiting for a high-quality, electrically biased Foot Mobile Engineer to support a portfolio of prestigious Tech, Media & Production and Corporate office space environments across Central London.
This is a highly client-facing role, suited to a professional and articulate engineer who is comfortable working in premium, fast-paced, occupied environments. The role involves covering Zone 2 with 4 or 5 sites, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders, production teams, and corporate tenants.
There are significant client-side overtime opportunities, offering strong earning potential in addition to a competitive basic salary.
Key Responsibilities
Planned and reactive electrical maintenance across 4-5 Central London Zone 2 sitesDeliver a consistent, professional engineering presence across all locationsSupport live tech, media, broadcast, and production environments where uptime is criticalElectrical fault finding, diagnostics, and remedial worksOperation and maintenance of:
LV power distribution systemsGeneral and emergency lightingUPS systemsBasic BMS monitoring and operation
First-line response to technical issues within live, occupied buildingsDirect liaison with clients, tenants, and site management teamsSupervision and escorting of specialist subcontractorsEnsure all works are completed in line with H&S procedures, permit-to-work systems, and statutory complianceAccurate completion of CAFM updates, logs, and compliance documentation
About You
Strong electrical bias with a solid background in commercial or critical environmentsProven experience working in high-end, client-facing buildingsPrevious exposure to Tech, Media, Production, Broadcast, or corporate HQ environments is highly desirableConfident communicator with a strong customer-service mindsetWell-presented, proactive, and comfortable working independently across multiple sitesStrong organisational and time-management skillsQualifications:
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)18th Edition Wiring RegulationsExperience operating under permit-to-work systemsPlumbing Level 2 qualification and/or Legionella Awareness certificate – highly desirableIOSH or similar H&S qualification (advantageous)
