Job Description
You will build the critical infrastructure connecting electric vehicles to the energy grid. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you’ll design API integrations and optimize real-time Kafka pipelines processing global vehicle telemetry. This is a high-impact role where your architectural decisions shape a platform used by utilities and fleet managers worldwide.

What You Will Do
- Architect and ingest telemetry from 30+ major automakers, transforming fragmented OEM data into a reliable, unified API for global customers.
- Build and optimize high-scale Kafka streaming pipelines to process real-time vehicle data for smart charging, grid balancing, and fleet optimization.
- Shape the engineering culture and internal tooling, from CI/CD workflows to monitoring systems, as the company scales its international footprint.
The ideal candidate
- Has deep experience building production-grade APIs and event-driven systems using Python, AWS, and streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Possesses a track record of owning complex software projects end-to-end, with the autonomy to scope, build, and ship features in startup environments.
- Demonstrates expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including Docker, Terraform, and maintaining high-reliability systems at scale.
