Position: Technical Delivery Business Analyst – 12 month fixed term contract, London (Hybrid working)

Job Overview

Railpen, the safeguarding and investment arm of the UK rail industry’s pension schemes, is looking for a Technical Delivery Business Analyst to drive the successful completion of technical projects. The role involves translating business requirements into technical specifications and facilitating solution design and delivery across software development, infrastructure, security, and business change workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and documentation of business and technical requirements for large‑scale or concurrent projects.
• Translate high‑level business objectives into detailed technical specifications and functional design documents.
• Work independently to manage project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in a fixed‑term contract environment.
• Promote continuous improvement practices within the delivery team and across broader Railpen projects.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, challenging assumptions constructively.

Qualifications

• Experience in a technical delivery or business analyst role, successfully delivering technical projects.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven background in data analysis.
• Proactive, creative thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the investments sector or regulated environments is desirable but not essential.
