Requirements

• Extensive senior business analysis experience, including facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, producing functional and non-functional specifications, solutions design, and defining new business processes
• Strong demonstrable experience on similar projects focused on migration, implementation, or transformation of key business systems and solutions
• Experience with online portal and payments systems would be highly advantageous
• Previous knowledge and experience within the Scottish public sector
• First‑class people and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with business teams and key stakeholders
• A positive, self‑starting approach with the ability to hit the ground running and embed quickly
• Candidates from the local Glasgow or Scottish market are preferred
• Ideally available now or at short notice

Responsibilities

• Support a project focused on moving or replacing an existing online portal and payments system
• Join an existing team and carry out core business analyst activities and outputs on a complex project
• Work closely with business teams and key stakeholders to gather and understand requirements
• Manage expectations across stakeholders throughout the project
• Contribute to the definition of new business processes and solution design
• Take ownership of business analysis tasks and integrate quickly into the team

We are recruiting for a Senior Business Analyst contract initially for 6 months, based in Glasgow within the public sector. This role is inside IR35 and offers up to £500 per day. The position follows a hybrid working approach with office time required each week. We are seeking someone who can join quickly and support a complex project involving the migration or replacement of an online portal and payments system.
