Location: Kido Reading Nursery & Preschool, 60 Bath Rd, Reading RG30 2AY

Compensation: £28,000 – £33,000 per year (full time, 40 hours per week)

Role Overview

As the Nursery Room Leader you will lead the team, champion our values and ensure a safe, high-quality environment for children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to smooth day-to-day operations, communicating key information to staff and parents.
• Model positive leadership, inspiring outstanding teaching and learning.
• Conduct performance reviews with supportive feedback, SMART goals and developmental encouragement.
• Collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritize child safety and welfare.
• Drive an ambitious curriculum, ensuring all staff deliver outstanding education.
• Implement and maintain the key person approach for each child.
• Pursue continuous professional development, encouraging the team to do the same.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum.
• Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (functional skills) if Level 3 obtained after 2014.
• Management experience within Early Years settings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
