Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Meet and greet visitors, staff and contractors and manage the gatehouse environment.
  • Conduct routine patrols of assigned premises and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
  • Liaise with local authorities, including police, emergency healthcare services and fire services in case of an emergency.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, logging all security‑related activities and occurrences.
  • Test alarms and conduct various meter readings; operate a telephone switchboard and use client software in the control room.
  • Monitor premises, conduct regular foot patrols, respond to incidents and maintain detailed reports.
  • Remain observant, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Valid SIA Badge – SG or DS Licence.
  • Full 5‑year UK checkable work history.
  • Own vehicle (essential due to location).
  • Strong communicator, will be using radio control and must understand the phonetic alphabet.
  • Demonstrate honesty and reliability; maintain professionalism and excellent customer service.

Job Details

This is a permanent role at Pinnacle Group, requiring 42 hours per week over 12‑hour shifts in a 4 on 4 off rota – 2 day & 2 night shifts: 6:00am – 6:00pm and 6:00pm – 6:00am rolling rota. The position is based at Carrington, Manchester M31. Access to personal transport is essential as there is no public transport to the site.
