Metrology Engineer

My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal‑based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join their existing team. As a Metrology Engineer, you will be focusing on measuring NPI parts, quality inspection, operating, setting and calibrating CMM equipment.

Metrology Engineer Responsibilities

• Operating, setting and calibrating CMM equipment
• Measuring production and NPI parts
• Input into the NPI, APQP, PPAP processes
• Ensure that parts meet technical and industry specifications
• Analyse measurement data and identify areas of improvement

Metrology Engineer Requirements

• Previous experience working within a Metrology or CMM position
• Experienced in using metrology laboratory equipment
• Must have a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Must be a team player
• Able to program and calibrate metrology machinery
