Location and Working Pattern

  • Location: Central London
  • Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver commercial and procurement strategies across the project lifecycle.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and support major contract agreements.
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance, risk, change, and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with UK law, nuclear regulations, and public procurement directives.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement in commercial delivery.
  • Implement and uphold ethical standards and nuclear safety requirements.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members (at Senior Commercial Manager level).

Must‑have Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial management for large‑scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and NEC3/NEC4 suite of contracts.
  • Understanding of procurement principles, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of UK law relevant to contracts and commercial activities.

Nice‑to‑have Skills

  • Membership of RICS, CICES, IOB, CIPS, or equivalent professional body.
  • Previous experience within the nuclear sector or other regulated industries.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement and European directives.
