This is a full‑time fixed‑term role until 31 March 2027, working 37.5 hours per week, based on‑site at our office in Upavon, Wiltshire.

Shift Pattern: 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from individuals interested in joining the British Army.
  • Respond to candidate enquiries via online webchat.
  • Update and maintain accurate records on internal systems.
  • Provide clear information about the recruitment process and next steps.
  • Escalate issues or queries when appropriate.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience, face‑to‑face or over the phone.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to capture information accurately.
  • Patient, empathetic and professional approach.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with army careers.
