As SGT-A20 Engineering Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across multiple geographic locations, with responsibility for improving fleet performance, reliability, availability, maintainability, and product safety. You will oversee technical investigations into in‑service issues, drive engineering improvement and R&D activities, support product safety and critical part disposition decisions, and work closely with regional and cross‑functional teams to deliver robust solutions for both internal and external customers. Occasional international travel may be required.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Service Fleet Performance: Lead improvements in reliability, availability, and maintainability across the SGT-A20 fleet, while driving R&D programmes and engineering investigations to deliver robust, customer-focused solutions.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with regional teams, Operational Service Desk, Project Management, SCM, MROC bases, Quality functions and M&S to align technical priorities with customer needs and broader business strategy.
- Operational Excellence: Act as Delegate to Product Owner (Chief Engineer) when needed, support Product Safety decisions, PDP reviews, and critical parts dispositions (Production Permits, Concessions, Waivers, TLRFs).
- People & Leadership: Develop and lead a high-performing, inclusive team by fostering accountability, building capability, and embedding a strong Zero Harm and continuous improvement culture.
What You Bring
- A degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience within engineering and/or reliability.
- Demonstrated experience in problem‑solving, defect investigation, engineering solution development, or maintenance strategy definition and optimisation, ideally within the energy or turbomachinery sectors.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, credible messages for both internal stakeholders and customers.
- A strong customer focus, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and building confidence through responsive, solution-oriented support.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality, with the credibility and leadership style to motivate others and set high standards.
- Knowledge of the SGT-A20 gas turbine and auxiliaries and their operational capabilities would be highly desirable.

This is a hybrid role whereby you should be in the Warwick office 2-3 days per week (minimum). Therefore you must be living within a commutable distance of Warwick or be willing to relocate at your own expense and you must have the permanent right to live and work in the UK with no visa restrictions.
