Job Description
Farlingaye High School invites applications for the position of Head of History and Politics, a full‑time permanent role starting January 2026. The successful candidate will lead the popular History department, oversee the provision of Politics at A Level, and contribute to shaping the future of the subject within the faculty.
- Lead the History department, ensuring high quality curriculum and strong student outcomes at GCSE and beyond.
- Oversee the Politics provision at A Level, providing leadership and quality assurance.
- Advise and support teachers, fostering professional development and collaboration.
- Develop and promote the Politics curriculum to enhance its appeal and effectiveness.
- Support the wider faculty and school strategy, including CPD, resource planning and coordination of extracurricular activities.
- Maintain safeguarding and welfare commitments, providing a safe learning environment for all students.
