Role Overview
Sofina Foods is looking for a driven and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to support the performance and reliability of our production operations. This site processes pork products and has an abattoir.
Working a dayshift 4 on 4 off pattern 0500-1700.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
- Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
- Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong multi‑skilled background and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
- NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work across disciplines
- Awareness or certification in Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting (desirable)
- Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
- Experience with lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Food experience working with heavy mechanical industrial machinery advantageous
