Multiskilled Engineer

Role Overview

Sofina Foods is looking for a driven and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to support the performance and reliability of our production operations. This site processes pork products and has an abattoir.

Working a dayshift 4 on 4 off pattern 0500-1700.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
• Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
• Uphold best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance
• Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong multi‑skilled background and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset
• NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
• Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work across disciplines
• Awareness or certification in Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting (desirable)
• Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation
• Experience with lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Food experience working with heavy mechanical industrial machinery advantageous
