Job Title: Freelance Construction Manager – High-Rise ResidentialnnLocation: Newcastle upon TynennContract Type: Freelance nnDuration: 6 months +nnStart Date: Immediate nnDay Rate: £300 – £350 per shiftnnThe OpportunitynnWe are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-rise residential development in Newcastle. This is a key freelance role on a landmark scheme, offering the opportunity to take ownership of site operations on a fast-paced, complex build.nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnManage day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budgetntnCoordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnelntnWork closely with the Project Manager and commercial team to monitor progress and costsntnEnsure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and company standardsntnDrive programme delivery, identifying and mitigating risks to timelinesntnConduct regular site meetings, progress reports, and quality inspectionsntnMaintain high standards of workmanship and ensure snagging is managed effectivelyntnLiaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as requirednnRequirementsnnProven experience as a Construction Manager on high-rise residential or large-scale RC frame projectsntnStrong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and programme managementntnSMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certifiedntnExcellent leadership and communication skillsntnAbility to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate complex packagesntnStrong focus on health & safety and quality assurancentnExperience working in a freelance/contract capacity preferred
