SQL Server DBA and Database Administrator for global software house. Senior level role with responsibilities in performance tuning, backup and recovery, SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, PowerShell, and MongoDB. Working in a business‑critical environment, the role requires a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate with the wider business.
Responsibilities
- Database and query performance tuning and optimisation
- Writing and maintaining Transact‑SQL stored procedures
- Day‑to‑day support and administration of SQL and data‑warehousing environments
- Data cleansing, correction, performance tuning and capacity planning
- Archiving, backup and restore best practices, including security
- Assisting the wider IT/IS division with complex database queries
- Contributing to product improvements, ease of use, reliability and reducing support levels
- Participating in an on‑call rotation
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with SQL Server 2012‑2016, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerShell
- Strong knowledge of database and query performance tuning and optimisation
- Background in backup and recovery, data cleansing and capacity planning
- Excellent communication skills; able to engage with business stakeholders
- Attention to detail and focus on delivery
- Willingness to work as part of an on‑call team
- Preferred: experience with MongoDB or willingness to undergo training
