SQL/BI Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver a high-quality Power BI reporting suite
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, views and tables to support reporting and analytics
• Build intuitive, high-performing Power BI dashboards for a wide range of users
• Work closely with service leads to translate business needs into clear reporting solutions
• Validate and quality-check data, identifying issues and driving improvements
• Support both routine and ad-hoc data requests across the service
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data governance standards
• Document data models, definitions and processes to ensure sustainability
• Collaborate with partners across health and care to support joined-up reporting

Qualifications

• Strong experience working in a BI/data/analytical role using SQL and Power BI
• Experience building dashboards, data models and writing efficient SQL queries
• The ability to work with large, complex datasets and translate data into clear insight
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
• Knowledge of data governance, GDPR and handling sensitive information
