Overview
This post is responsible for the leadership of Community Nursing Services in Erewash. The post holder will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the team, focus on delivering high quality care, and drive service improvement. The role includes collaboration with the wider Management Team and engagement with stakeholders across health and social care sectors.
Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day management of the community nursing team.
- Lead and support the delivery of key performance measures and high quality care outcomes.
- Collaborate with the wider Management Team and external stakeholders (health, social care, multi‑agency) to develop joint working arrangements.
- Act as a role model of DCHS Way values, demonstrating inclusive, transparent, and accountable leadership.
- Provide leadership that is challenging and open to being challenged.
- Manage caseloads, budgets and resource allocation.
- Address HR issues, conflict management and support staff development.
Qualifications
- Registered health care professional (Nursing or equivalent) with HCPC professional body registration or equivalent.
- BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent clinical qualification.
- Varied clinical NHS experience, including multidisciplinary team and multi‑agency working.
- Operational management experience at ward or team level.
- Proven change management and service improvement experience.
- Experience of dealing with HR issues and conflict resolution.
- Budget holder experience.
- Good IT skills – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database/spreadsheet applications.
