Security Officer

Position: Security Officer

Location: Edinburgh, UK

Pay: £13.70 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 0700–1600hrs (45 hrs/week)

Job Description

You will protect people, property, and information, performing patrols, searches, record keeping, communications, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Active patrols to deter suspicious activity.
• Conduct detailed searches following company policies.
• Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
• Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and authorities.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Knowledge of access control and CCTV systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Customer service skills.
• Right to work in the UK with 5‑year checkable history.
• British nationality and UK residency for the past 5 years.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
