About the role
This is a hybrid role (3–4 days a week from home on average and 1 day based in St Neots), supporting people with neurodiversity support needs to maintain employment or secure new employment. The role is a FTC maternity cover until February 2027 with the option to stay on for an additional month working 3 days a week. There is the potential opportunity for it to be made permanent depending on performance and availability.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of around 40 participants referred via NHS, job centre or self‑referrals.
- Support participants who are neurodiverse (ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia or Tourette’s) in maintaining or securing employment.
- Liaise with employers on behalf of participants and discuss returns to work or reasonable adaptations.
- Provide career support to participants who are unemployed or seeking a new career, including job searching, CV writing and interview preparation.
- Conduct up to four 1‑to‑1 sessions per day with clients.
- Work with participants for an average of 3–6 months until they no longer need support.
- Adhere to a hybrid schedule: Monday at the St Neots office, with flexible home days, attend team meetings every other month, and visit local job centres or careers fairs (Peterborough / Cambridgeshire).
Qualifications
- Experience in the employability field, such as Work Coach, Employment Advisor, Careers Advisor, Recruitment Consultant, HR Advisor, or similar.
- Experience supporting others to achieve goals (e.g., teacher, tutor, recovery worker, or similar) may be considered.
