Job Description

SQL Server DBA, SQL Server Database Administrator, SQL Server 2012 – 2016 Performance Tuning, Optimisation, Backup and Recovery, T‑SQL, RDBMS, SSRS/SSIS, Powershell, MongoDB – Global Software House – 50‑55K.

This role involves performance tuning, query optimisations, support and administration of SQL and data warehousing environments, data cleansing, backup & restore best practices, assisting IT/IS with complex queries, and contributing to product improvements.

Responsibilities

• Database and query performance tuning and optimisation
• Writing Transact SQL stored procedures
• Day‑to‑day support and administration of all SQL and data‑warehousing environments
• Data cleansing and correction work, performance tuning, capacity planning
• Archiving, backup, and restore best practices including security
• Assisting the wider IT/IS division with complex database queries
• Contributing to product improvements, ease of use, reliability and reducing support levels

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with SQL Server 2012 – 2016
• SSRS, SSIS, SSAS proficiency
• PowerShell experience; MongoDB preferred (training will be provided)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with the wider business
• On‑call availability as part of the on‑call team
