P+S are currently looking to secure high-calibre professional contractors capable of delivering works on live electrical networks, ensuring compliance with DNO standards, and supporting the growth of a scalable Power & EV division.nnProjects will be across the UK where candidates must be willing to travel, flexibility for night shift work and outage may be required.nnDisciplines:nnLV/HV cable jointing and connectionsnnNetwork de-looping worksnnEV charger installation and commissioningnnTurnkey electrical infrastructure deliverynnJob Roles:nnPrimary Roles-nnLV Cable JointersnnHV Cable JointersnnElectrical / EV Installation EngineersnnSenior / Strategic Roles-nnSenior Authorised Person (SAP)nnAuthorised Person (AP)nnSupervisors / Team LeadersnnCore Responsibilities:nnCarry out LV & HV cable jointing (straight joints, terminations, link boxes)nnUndertake network connections, disconnections, and service terminationsnnPerform de-looping works on existing networksnnInstall and commission EV charging infrastructurennInterpret electrical drawings, schematics, and DNO designsnnConduct testing, inspection, and fault findingnnEnsure full compliance with:nnBS 7671 (18th Edition)nnDNO / IDNO standardsnnHealth & Safety legislation (HSE / CDM)nnComplete all QA documentation, test certificates, and handover packsnnWork collaboratively with civils and reinstatement teamsnnKey Competencies:nnStrong understanding of electrical distribution networksnnAbility to work safely on live systemsnnKnowledge of DNO standards and compliance requirementsnnHigh standards of quality assurance and documentationnnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamnnEssential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):nnElectrical Competence-nnLevel 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Electrical Installationnn18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)nnInspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)nnStreet Works & Site Competence-nnNRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)nnCable Joining-nnRecognised LV cable jointing certificationnnProven experience in HV jointing (where applicable)nnExperience working with PILC / XLPE / waveform cablesnnQualifications & Accreditations (Desirable):nnECS or CSCS CardnnNICEIC or NAPIT affiliation (for EV works)nnCity & Guilds 2919 (EV Charging Installations)nnDNO / IDNO authorisationsnnLV Authorised Person / HV Authorised PersonnnSenior Authorised Person (SAP)nnExperience Requirements:nnMinimum-nn3–5 years LV cable jointing experiencennExperience working on live electrical networksnnPreferred-nnHV jointing experiencennExperience working on DNO / ICP projectsnnEV installation and commissioning experience
