Job Overview
Field Service Engineer – High Voltage Business, Remote (Staffordshire, United Kingdom). Full‑time role with no visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Execute high‑voltage service work in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
- Deliver timely, high‑quality, cost‑effective service offerings, solutions, and engineering projects for customers.
- Maintain project site documentation, checklists, and progress reports to ensure client satisfaction.
- Coordinate and optimise delivery of parts, materials, and components for each project.
- Lead jobs from start to finish under the direction of the project manager, meeting clients’ requirements.
- Identify and recommend new service opportunities and effective solutions to support business and customer needs.
- Apply all safety rules, follow safe practices, and implement actions to mitigate hazards for people and equipment.
Qualifications
- Electrical engineering background or related industry experience.
- Experience in high‑voltage or power sector (installation, service, maintenance).
- Proven mechanical installation, switchgear, cabling/wiring installation, oil handling, device function checks, and power equipment testing knowledge (e.g., Omicron, Megger).
- Experience leading a team or managing subcontractors.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Suitable qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CCNSG (training provided).
- Full driving licence.
