Role Overview
Bank of America’s EMEA Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team, based in London, is looking for a strong and experienced Associate / Vice President to join the team. The team covers well‑known clients on both strategic and financial matters, holding leading positions globally and in EMEA, and offers extensive exposure to interesting companies and live transaction execution. Key competencies include a great attitude and work ethic, strong technical and financial modelling capabilities, sector knowledge and interest, the ability to work independently with limited guidance, leadership and teamwork skills, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Associate Level
- Formulate and develop client pitch‑books and analysis to support coverage activities.
- Lead workstreams on live transactions (M&A, IPO, etc.), including drafting marketing materials, building financial models, and coordinating due diligence.
- Perform detailed operational and financial analysis of companies, including comparable company and transaction analysis.
- Build detailed financial models (operating, merger, DCF, LBO, etc.).
- Research companies and industries, supporting client initiatives and generating new M&A ideas.
- Monitor targeted clients for newsflow and announcements.
- Build direct cross‑functional relationships with bankers in product and regional business units.
Vice President Level
- Play a key role supporting origination and deal execution across a broad scope of assignments and products within the Consumer & Retail industry.
- Make an immediate contribution.
- Support senior bankers in day‑to‑day client coverage.
- Lead the execution of M&A transactions and equity and debt financings.
- Help formulate and develop client pitch‑books and analysis.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Lead client coverage for smaller accounts.

- Requisite years of Investment Banking experience, preferably including Consumer & Retail exposure.
