Hawk 3 is excited to be recruiting a Payroll & Accounts Assistant for a busy Head Office supporting a nationwide operation within the wider automotive industry.nnThis role blends payroll processing with core ledger duties, giving you variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop within a supportive and expanding organisation.nnThe RolennYou'll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting essential finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of payroll, finance administration, and cross?department collaboration.nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnPayroll Duties (Primary Focus)nnProcess weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on schedulenMaintain and update employee payroll recordsnManage starters, leavers, and contractual changesnCalculate overtime, holiday pay, statutory payments, and deductionsnHandle payroll queries from employees and managersnSupport compliance with HMRC requirements and internal audit standardsnSales LedgernnAllocate incoming customer paymentsnIssue invoices and credit notesnReconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepanciesnRespond to customer account queriesnPurchase LedgernnProcess supplier invoices with correct codingnPrepare payment runsnReconcile supplier statementsnResolve invoice and payment discrepanciesnGeneral Finance SupportnnAssist with month?end processesnSupport bank reconciliationsnMaintain accurate financial recordsnProvide cover across the wider finance team when needednAbout YounnEssentialnnExperience in payroll processing (weekly or monthly)nPrevious experience in a finance role (Sales or Purchase Ledger)nStrong numerical accuracy and attention to detailnConfident using Excel and payroll/finance softwarenExcellent communication skillsnProactive and able to manage high volumes of datanDesirablennExperience in automotive, retail, or multi?site environmentsnKnowledge of Sage 200 or payroll systemsnAAT or payroll?related qualification (or studying)nWhat's in It for YounnCompetitive salary and benefitsn28 days holiday including Bank Holidays (increasing with service)nStaff discount on industry?related productsnSupportive, friendly working environmentnGenuine opportunities for development and progressionnOnsite car parkingnTeam Culture & Additional DutiesnnYou'll work closely with departments across the business to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
