An award‑winning architectural practice is looking to appoint an Architectural Technician or experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join its growing technical team in Central London.
With an established reputation for delivering complex transport and infrastructure projects, the practice works with major clients including Network Rail, Transport for London and London Underground. Thanks to a strong pipeline of secured work, this is an excellent opportunity to work on nationally significant rail projects within a collaborative and supportive studio.
The Role
Working alongside experienced architects and technical specialists, you will play a key role in producing high‑quality technical information across a range of rail and transport schemes.
This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys technical detailing, multidisciplinary coordination and delivering complex infrastructure projects through multiple RIBA stages.
Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawing packages using MicroStation.
- Develop construction details and technical documentation.
- Coordinate information with multidisciplinary design teams.
- Work closely with Architects, Associates and Project Directors to deliver projects on programme.
- Ensure drawings meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Support projects from design through to construction.
- Attend coordination and project meetings where required.
About You
We are keen to hear from Architectural Technicians or experienced Part II Architectural Assistants who have strong technical abilities and enjoy working within a collaborative environment.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience using MicroStation (essential).
- UK rail project experience (highly desirable).
- Alternatively, experience delivering large‑scale logistics, industrial or distribution centre projects.
- Strong technical detailing and drawing package experience.
- Good understanding of UK construction methods and technical standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A proactive attitude and desire to develop within a specialist transport practice.
