IEM EMA Integration Engineer – Vehicle Efficiency (Contract)nn Gaydon | ⏳ Contract | Hybrid WorkingnnWe are supporting a leading automotive OEM in the search for an IEM EMA Integration Engineer to join their Vehicle Architecture function, working within an established Agile operating model.nnThis is a key role focused on the Vehicle Efficiency attribute, combining strategic target setting, technical analysis, cross‑functional integration and governance across vehicle programmes.nnThe RolennReporting to the Vehicle Architecture Efficiency Product Owner, you will play a central role in defining, validating and governing vehicle efficiency targets, ensuring alignment between legislative requirements, customer expectations, energy systems and programme delivery constraints.nnYou'll work across multiple stakeholders, including energy node owners, tools and methods teams, and wider programme functions, influencing decisions that directly impact vehicle efficiency, range and compliance.nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnLead strategic target setting for the Vehicle Efficiency attribute nCompetitive benchmarking and positioningnFleet compliance and legislative requirement assessmentnCustomer feedback and real‑world data analysisnCoordinate and contribute to virtual verification and efficiency data analysisnAssess and negotiate target compatibility between Vehicle Efficiency and energy node ownersnCollaborate with energy node owners to influence and define technology roadmaps aligned to efficiency and customer trendsnSupport robust Vehicle Efficiency governance across vehicle programmes, identifying risks and opportunities earlynEnsure efficiency and energy node assumption data is robust, traceable and accessible to key stakeholdersnWork with tools and methods teams to align attribute development requirements with programme objectivesnContribute to wider tools and methods development projects, where programme delivery allowsnUndertake additional tasks as required to support the wider Vehicle Architecture teamnnEssential Skills & ExperiencennStrong technical engineering background with a methodical, structured problem‑solving approachnExperience in vehicle attribute and/or vehicle systems deliverynKnowledge of vehicle efficiency legislation, homologation and certification processesnTechnical understanding of how vehicle energy nodes (road load, propulsion efficiency, electrical loads, etc.) impact vehicle‑level efficiency and driving rangenStrong presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data, risks and recommendations clearly using visualisations and insightsnExcellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical topics for a wide range of stakeholdersnSelf‑motivated, autonomous engineer comfortable working within an Agile frameworknHighly organised, with good attention to technical administration and data governancennEducation & BackgroundnnDegree‑educated (ideally Mechanical or Systems Engineering)nSignificant relevant industrial experience in automotive or related sectorsnnWorking ArrangementnnHybrid working availablenMinimum 2 days per week on‑site in Gaydon (with flexibility depending on business needs)
