Assistant Accountant

About you

• Part-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CAI) or experienced Assistant Accountant with relevant experience
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar finance position
• Proficient in ERP systems, ideally Navision, with strong Excel skills
• Effective communicator comfortable working across departments
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is desirable but not essential

What you’ll do

• Support sales and purchase ledger activities, resolving related queries efficiently
• Assist with bank reconciliations and review general ledger entries
• Participate in the preparation of monthly management accounts and assist with year-end processes
• Help ensure compliance with statutory and internal reporting requirements
• Identify and support opportunities for process and system improvements
• Build strong working relationships across teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations
