An expanding and forward-thinking organisation operating across multiple business sectors is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Accountant to strengthen its high-performing finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working in a commercially focused environment, partnering with key stakeholders, and contributing to the ongoing development of finance processes.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, you’ll take ownership of financial reporting activities while supporting strategic planning and helping to drive efficiencies across the finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of management information
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain financial integrity
- Coordinate year-end audit activities
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting capabilities, and system efficiencies
- Provide guidance and support to finance colleagues while contributing to business improvement projects
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, statutory accounts, and accounting standards
- Experience using ERP systems alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated success in improving financial controls and streamlining processes
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
