Electrical Engineern Location: Portsmouth / Hybridn Salary: Competitive + benefitsnnThe Opportunityn We're working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy delivering design and build solutions across the UK and internationally.nnThis business operates in highly regulated and secure environments, supporting projects across sectors such as defence, infrastructure, and government estates. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an Electrical Engineer to join their expanding team.n This is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically complex, high-impact projects where safety, compliance, and resilience are critical.nnThe Rolen You will play a key role in delivering electrical building services design across the full project lifecycle – from initial concept and feasibility through to detailed design, installation, and commissioning.nnWorking within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, you'll gain exposure to projects that require innovative thinking and a high level of technical assurance.nnKey ResponsibilitiesnnDesign electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and associated infrastructurenProduce technical drawings, specifications, and calculationsnSupport projects from concept through to completionnCarry out site surveys and contribute to feasibility studiesnWork closely with internal teams across multiple disciplinesnEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g. BS7671)nLiaise with clients, contractors, and key stakeholdersnSupport testing, commissioning, and project handoverAbout YounnDegree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building ServicesnExperience in electrical design within a consultancy or design & build environmentnStrong understanding of building services systemsnFamiliarity with UK standards and regulationsnExcellent communication and teamwork skillsDesirable ExperiencennExperience working in regulated sectors (e.g.
