Responsibilities
- Provide IT support via telephone, remote support tools and at customer premises, primarily supporting Microsoft Windows networks, systems, desktops and cloud applications.
- Assist in planning and executing larger project work (server installation/upgrades, office relocations, new office setup).
- Contribute to improving the office function, identifying and developing business opportunities, quoting new business and analysing business progress.
- Learn to respond to phone and email support requests promptly; attempt to resolve issues before escalating.
- Check customer backups daily and monitor ongoing issues, liaising with support teams as needed.
- Verify daily customer Anti-Virus software status and escalate as required.
- Assist in arranging support diary and coordinate with customers to schedule convenient appointments.
- Document important customer information and procedures; provide accurate notes of work and enter time and equipment costs in the helpdesk system.
- Maintain customer database information; forward quotes and recommendations to customers as required.
- Assist in purchasing software or hardware as required.
- Assist with large projects such as office moves and server installations; delivery and setup of equipment at customer sites.
- Identify opportunities with the current customer base and contribute to related activities.
- Undertake other duties as needed or required.
