We’re looking for someone with proven experience in children’s residential care, strong leadership skills, and the passion to create a safe, nurturing, high-performing environment.

About the Role

As Registered/ Deputy Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day running of a residential home supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a residential care team to deliver exceptional, child-centred care
  • Oversee and implement tailored care plans that support each child’s individual needs
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
  • Manage safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
  • Manage staffing, rotas, and budgets effectively
  • Build relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies
  • Drive the home from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager within an EBD residential children’s home
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to manage operations including staffing and budgets

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or working towards it
