We’re looking for someone with proven experience in children’s residential care, strong leadership skills, and the passion to create a safe, nurturing, high-performing environment.
About the Role
As Registered/ Deputy Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day running of a residential home supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop a residential care team to deliver exceptional, child-centred care
- Oversee and implement tailored care plans that support each child’s individual needs
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
- Manage safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Manage staffing, rotas, and budgets effectively
- Build relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies
- Drive the home from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’
About You
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Registered or Deputy Manager within an EBD residential children’s home
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Ability to manage operations including staffing and budgets
Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or working towards it
